It is very difficult to maintain good hygiene during the period of hot weather when you are always prone to get drenched in sweat...
Consequently, heat causes many skin problems like rashes, pimples, ezcema and the likes. Even though we have nothing to stop the weather, but there are always ways to maintain good hygiene during the hot weather.
Stay Hydrated
During the hot weather, it is very important to stay hydrated, that is, drinking plenty of water needed by the body system irrespective of whether you feel thirsty or not. You have to do so because the body system tends to lose lot of water fluids due to the hot weather and you have to drink enough water to replace those lost fluids in the body.
Make a daily diet of lots of fruits and vegetables because these classes of food contain levels of water capable of replacing the lost water fluids in the body. Keep off totally from alcohol intake and caffeine as these leave you so dehydrated. During workout time, make water bottle your friend to ensure you drink water more often before and during exercise.
Avoiding sun exposure
Generally, exposurs to too much sun can be harmful to your health. When you get too much exposure to the Ultraviolet UV rays, there is a greater tendency for skin cancer. Anytime you are out in the sun, the sun adds up day by day. Therefore, try to spend some time indoors to avoid too much exposurr to the ultraviolet rays caused by the sun. Have your breaks in well ventilated areas to cool off your body. If the need arises to walk in the sun, ensure you use an umbrella to protect yourself.
Wear the right clothes at the right time
When you have to walk in the sun, try to wear clothes that cover more skin like long-sleeved shirts, long pants or skirt, long dress because these clothes provide UV protection against the attack of the sun. Choose dark colored clothes than the ones with light colors that are also loose fitting because they provide more protection than the tight fitting clothes and light colored ones. Endeavor to schedule your outings in the cooler part of the day (evening or early morning). Sunglasses become a must have during this kind of season, to protect your eyes from the damaging effect of the sun and also add glamor to your outfit.
Be more vigilant about your private areas
Shave the hair in your pubic region regularly to avoid a breeding ground for bacteria and retaining sweat in the areas. Pay more attention to your feet also, clean and air them regularly to avoid a smelly feet.
Body hygiene
You are prone to sweat profusely during the hot weather and consequently this can result in body odor if not properly taken care of. To maintain a good personal hygiene, take a shower regularly or anytime you feel hot. This will help to eliminate body odor and also keeps the body clean and fresh. Importantly, invest in a good deodorant.
